Le président de Boluda Corporación Marítima, Vicente Boluda Fos, accompagné de son comité de direction, a effectué la première visite officielle de l’ABEILLE MÉDITERRANÉE à Toulon.
Cette visite marque la première étape stratégique de Boluda autour de ce navire depuis l’intégration de Les Abeilles International au sein de Boluda Towage en juin 2024. À cette occasion, la délégation a été rejointe par le préfet maritime de la Méditerranée, le vice-amiral Christophe Lucas, ainsi que par Jean-Emmanuel Perrin, commissaire général et adjoint au préfet maritime. Ensemble, ils ont visité les installations de ce remorqueur d’exception, mobilisé 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, pour des missions de remorquage et d’intervention d’urgence.
Cette visite s’inscrit dans le cadre du plan d’intégration opérationnelle de Les Abeilles International au sein de Boluda Towage, visant à renforcer l’engagement du groupe en faveur de l’excellence opérationnelle et de la sécurité maritime en France.
Construit en 2010 en Norvège par le chantier naval Kleven, l’ABEILLE MÉDITERRANÉE se distingue par une traction au point fixe de 290 tonnes, faisant de lui le remorqueur de sauvetage le plus puissant au monde. Il a rejoint la flotte de Les Abeilles en 2021 aux côtés de son navire jumeau, l’AB NORMANDIE, avant d’être transformé en remorqueur de sauvetage dédié, intégrant l’expertise acquise par l’entreprise au fil de 150 ans d’opérations d’assistance en mer.

Vicente Boluda Fos visits the ABEILLE MÉDITERRANÉE, the most powerful tug in Boluda’s French fleet and the highest‑powered unit of its class worldwide
The President of Boluda Corporación Marítima Vicente Boluda Fos, accompanied by his executive team, carried out the first official visit to the ABEILLE MÉDITERRANÉE in Toulon (France).
This visit marks Boluda’s first strategic approach to the vessel after the integration of Les Abeilles International into Boluda Towage in June 2024. During the visit, the delegation was joined by the Maritime Prefect of the Mediterranean, Vice Admiral Christophe Lucas, and Jean-Emmanuel Perrin, General Commissioner and Deputy to the Maritime Prefect. Together, they toured the impressive infrastructure of this tug, which operates 24/7, 365 days a year for towing and emergency response missions.
The visit forms part of the operational integration plan of Les Abeilles International into Boluda Towage, aimed at strengthening Boluda’s commitment to operational excellence and maritime safety in France.
Built in 2010 in Norway by the Kleven shipyard, the ABEILLE MÉDITERRANÉE stands out for its 290-ton bollard pull, being the most powerful emergency response tugs in the world. It joined Les Abeilles fleet in 2021 alongside its sister vessel, the AB NORMANDIE, and was later converted into a dedicated salvage tug, incorporating the expertise accumulated by the company over 150 years of offshore assistance operations.
